Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC, founded in 1881 in Sri Lanka, is the country’s largest and oldest brewery. Based in Biyagama, it holds over 80% of the local beer market and produces a range of popular beers, including the award-winning Lion Stout. The brewery is partly owned by the Carlsberg Group and exports its products worldwide.
