The Golden Pheasant Brewery, known in Slovakia as Zlatý Bažant, was founded in 1969 in Hurbanovo, southern Slovakia. Chosen for its pure water and ideal barley-growing climate, it produces one of Slovakia’s most famous beers — a crisp, balanced pale lager. Now part of the Heineken Group, the brewery combines traditional Slovak brewing with modern techniques and is home to the country’s largest malt house.
